Hand-coiled from sun-dried iraca leaf in the high valleys of Nariño — each napkin ring taking a skilled weaver the better part of a day to complete, the diamond weave pulled strand by strand to a finish that no machine has come close to replicating.
The yellow is not a dye. It is what the iraca leaf becomes when the weavers of Nariño leave it to the Andean sun — a process that cannot be hurried any more than the weaving itself can. One weaver. One ring. The coil of this set of 4 is hand-formed, the edge is hand-finished, and the tension is maintained by touch alone across five centuries of unbroken craft tradition.
