The glassblowers of Mallorca have been working this blue since the Moorish craftsmen first carried the technique across the Mediterranean in the tenth century — a cobalt gather introduced to molten glass on a blowpipe, twisted once at the moment the form is still moving, and never revisited.
The swirl that results is different in every glass of this set of 4 Daphne tumblers. Each glass is handcrafted using ancient techniques.
On your table, the candlelight found the blue at an angle that made the whole room feel like it was underwater, in the best possible sense.
We have not found a table they don't improve. On a white linen cloth, in the early evening, when the light is doing its best work — there is nothing quite like them.
